Steps

Creating an Account

  1. Go to https://www.instructables.com. Enter this URL in the address bar and you'll be directed to the Instructables homepage.
  2. Click the Sign Up button. It's a yellow button at top-right corner. This wil be dircted to the sign up form.
  3. Click the Sign up with email. It's the yellow button near the bottom of the card.
    • Alternatively, you can sign up via Autodesk, Google or Facebook. To do this, click Continue with Autodesk, Continue with Google or Continue with Facebook, and follow the on-screen instructions.
  4. Choose your region, date of birth and role. Use the provided forms to choose these. Click Next to proceed.
  5. Enter your email address, userrname and password. Use the provided textfields to enter these. Perform a CAPTCHA check, agree to terms of service and privacy statement. Click Next to proceed.
  6. Verify your email address. Go to an email service and open the Instructables email you received. Click the orange Verify now! to verify your email address. This will open a new tab for verifying your email address.

Creating an Article

  1. Click the + New button. It's a yellow button to the left of avatar, at the top-right corner of screen.
  2. Select a title, cover image and category. Use the provided textfield to enter the title, and upload a cover image, then choose a category and channel.
