Steps
Creating an Account
- Go to https://www.instructables.com. Enter this URL in the address bar and you'll be directed to the Instructables homepage.
- Click the Sign Up button. It's a yellow button at top-right corner. This wil be dircted to the sign up form.
- Click the Sign up with email. It's the yellow button near the bottom of the card.
- Alternatively, you can sign up via Autodesk, Google or Facebook. To do this, click Continue with Autodesk, Continue with Google or Continue with Facebook, and follow the on-screen instructions.
- Choose your region, date of birth and role. Use the provided forms to choose these. Click Next to proceed.
- Enter your email address, userrname and password. Use the provided textfields to enter these. Perform a CAPTCHA check, agree to terms of service and privacy statement. Click Next to proceed.
- Verify your email address. Go to an email service and open the Instructables email you received. Click the orange Verify now! to verify your email address. This will open a new tab for verifying your email address.
Creating an Article
- Click the + New button. It's a yellow button to the left of avatar, at the top-right corner of screen.
- Select a title, cover image and category. Use the provided textfield to enter the title, and upload a cover image, then choose a category and channel.
